Michelle & Wesley's Barboursville, VA Wedding

I'm thrilled to share these images of my dear friend Michelle Via (now Michelle Jone's) Wedding! Michelle and I went to high school together in Fredericksburg, Va and I'm so happy that we were able to reconnect in time for her special day. Not only is Michelle a gorgeous redhead but she's also a graphic designer, so I was really flattered when she decided she wanted me to photograph her wedding day! Well...enough about Michelle and I, here's a little about the happy couple:

After meeting in high school through a mutual friend Michelle and Wesley reconnected at a bar in Blacksburg, VA the weekend after the groom turned 21. Shortly after the shootings at Virginia Tech took place, Michelle and Wesley spent the evening watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to help distract them. On May 21st, 2007 Michelle and Wesley made their relationship official. On May 21st, 2010 Wesley proposed and finally, on May 21st, 2011 they were married.

On that May day, Michelle and her bridesmaids got ready near home in Fredericksburg, VA where they laughed and joked around, eager to see her beau.

Michelle made her way to Orange, VA where she and Wesley had their first look!

After the "first look" we found a lovely vineyard near the wedding venue, for some fun portraits!

Finally, Stonefire Station, where the ceremony took place, to meet her groom and guests.

Michelle looked stunning in a strapless white gown as she walked down to aisle to exchange vows with Wesley.

Following the ceremony friends and family gathered at the Stonefire Station Ballroom. Following passed canapés, a buffet style dinner was served and a DJ set up so the guests could begin celebrating the union.

The late May evening allowed guests to mingle inside and outside in the courtyard under the pergola.

After a night of food, drinks, dancing and cake the guests sent Michelle and Wesley off into their new life as a married couple.
