Welcome fall 2011 interns

My favorite season of the year is fall and I'm excited to be spending this fall with two lovely interns.

Allison is a recent graduate of American University and is originally from New Orleans.

Andrea is a student at The Art Institute of Washington. Michelle is her professor!

Here's a shot from this past weekend's wedding on the Georgetown waterfront with My Simple Details.

We survived Hurricane Irene and tomorrow we will head off to New Hampshire for Amelia & Nate Wedding!

Aimee + Rob's Dupont Circle Wedding

¬¬On June 11th, 2011 Aimee and Rob said “I Do” in a traditional ceremony at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Washington DC. Looking stunning in a dress from Chevy Chase Bridal Boutique by Simone Carvalli, Aimee glided down the aisle.
Following the ceremony the guests and wedding party headed to The Washington Club in Dupont Circle where they were met with the annual Gay Pride Parade.
“Dupont Circle was the place to be on June 11th with people coming from all over the US to partake in the wedding and the Gay Pride parade. Lots of happy people!” Aimee gushed about the exciting coincidence on her wedding day.
The Washington Club provided Aimee and Rob with much of their inspiration. They were going for a sort of art deco theme but above all else wanted something simple and elegant. A theme they were easily able to achieve.
At the reception guests enjoyed dinner from Windows Catering followed by cake from them as well. Kelsey Hendrickson, of Windows Catering, stayed on site for the reception to make sure everything ran smoothly for the couple. Thus, allowing Aimee and Rob to sit back, enjoy their company and dance away the night to Bialek Music’s UpFront Band.

Elizabeth + Nick's Glen Echo Wedding

I'm thrilled to share with you a wedding I've been holding back for a while. Today it is being posted on Style Me Pretty, so I'm ready to share it with the whole world! But before I do that, I'd like to give a shout out to all the wonderful vendors involved with this joyous event!

Elizabeth's dad was handing out these tiny stickers with Elizabeth's grade school baby face on them. Isn't that precious?!?

I have to say that I was getting a little teary eyed when I saw Nick's grandmother ask family if they would take her on the merry-go-round. They put her on the bench portion of the ride but she wanted to go on one of the horses so badly. After some tugging of their sleeves and puppy eye looks, she talked her family into helping her onto the horse. The look on her face was priceless. I hope that I am as adventurous as she is when I'm her age. You can tell that she still has a child-like spirit which is so sweet. I can tell that everyone was so happy to have her as a guest at the wedding.

Joel & Charlotte! Remember them from their Valentines wedding? It's always a pleasure visiting with these two love birds!
