Kelly & Michael grew up in the same town outside of Pittsburgh and started dating in high school. They later broke up after Kelly's 1st year of college but reconnected 6 years later and got engaged!

Michael propsed on the Crim Dell bridge at William & Mary (Kelly's Alma Mater).

"We wanted our wedding to be casual and fun, with a few simple, elegant touches. It was important for every aspect of the day to reflect who we were as a couple. We like browsing in antique stores on the weekends, and I fell in love with the antique blue mason jars I found in various stores around Virginia. I knew this was going to be a central theme in our wedding. I found the invitation template online and fell in love. A family friend happened to have a collection of these blue jars, and was gracious enough to let us borrow them, which was fabulous. We chose to use clear mason jars with wire hangers on shepherd hooks to line the aisle, and to have drinks in mason jars as well."

"Other touches included: "corn hole" games made by the groom's aunt, a cookie table which is a shout out to our Pittsburgh roots (it is a tradition in Pittsburgh to have a cookie table at weddings), and a dozen Steelers themed cupcakes which were a surprise from the bride for the groom made by Cupcakes Actually."
